Drum & bass icon and Mad Decent roster mate DJ Fresh has teamed up with Diplo for a new production “Earthquake”. While some may wonder how the label boss and Major Lazer visionary has the time to continually create new sounds, it’s not the first surfacing of the thumping, horn-infused beat. Originally developed from the Diplo-produced instrumental behind Angel Haze‘s “On The Edge” – an artist probably best known for her twitter feud with Azealia Banks. On this version, the Biggie samples are dropped in favour of vocals from Dominique Young Unique, and while the trap meanness is lost, it’s still a fun tribal-style drum track for the summer. Out soon on Ministry of Sound.
